OnePlan TransportTM
For designing and dimensioning transport networks using ring and mesh architectures
With an array of powerful network planning capabilities, OnePlan Transport can produce optimal network design and dimensioning in all types of transport network architectures at minimal cost. In the process, OnePlan Transport considers and enforces protection schemes such as 1+1, Shared, Unprotected, SNCP/UPSR, and/or MSSPring/BLSR as well as routing directives like minimum hop, shortest path and lowest cost.
OnePlan Transport provides a powerful scripting language that allows users to automate network planning business rules and processes. In addition, OnePlan Transport provides a .NET-based platform to allow users to plug in third-party algorithms implemented in C#, J#, C++ or Java languages.
By importing the demands for voice, IP, ATM, switch, wavelength services and more from the other OnePlan modules, OnePlan Transport allows users to optimize the underlying transport network.
OnePlan Transport helps network planners to:
- Reduce network infrastructure investments by designing cost-effective intra-office and inter-office networks
- Eliminate/mitigate hot spots in the network
- Identify and fix Service Level Agreement (SLA) diversity issues
- Evaluate competing network architectures, topologies and technologies
- Perform and analyze network survivability studies for ASON networks
- Plan traffic re-routing tasks for risk balancing and equipment decommissioning activities
- Route failure and diversity associations across multiple network layers
