OnePlan

OnePlan DistributionTM

For distributing traffic demands over a network

An efficient traffic matrix aggregation, generation and manipulation application, OnePlan Distribution is used to analyze and determine the different traffic flows in telecommunication networks. With this application, it is possible to analyze the traffic within one network, between different networks (e.g. between fixed and mobile networks) and between PSTN and VoIP networks. OnePlan Distribution is also used to model points of interconnect networks.

By providing network traffic information to the other OnePlan modules, OnePlan Distribution allows users to create an overall, optimized network plan.

Key Features

OnePlan Distribution supports users with the following major planning steps:

  • Calculating a traffic matrix based on input data
  • Equalizing unbalanced traffic demands based on traffic measurement data
  • Manipulating a traffic matrix (single, hybrid or interconnect) through changing values or interest factors

Since the economic planning of a traffic matrix must take into account characteristics of specific service types, OnePlan Distribution accepts detailed traffic input data such as exchange name, number of subscribers per exchange, traffic load per subscriber in every exchange, area number (grouping nodes in areas), node type specification (local or transit) and the hierarchy of the node. This allows OnePlan Distribution to provide a traffic distribution plan balanced with respect to criteria determined by the user.
