Tito Sharma – President and Chief Executive Officer
Tito has 15 years of communications industry experience. Prior to joining VPIsystems, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Lemur Networks, an OSS company in the CATV market. Before joining Lemur Networks, Tito was Chief Financial Officer of Aplion Networks in Edison, NJ, a software and hardware vendor of converged data, voice and video services. He was also a founder and the Director of Business Strategy for Coreon, a start-up in the OSS space for communications carriers. Previously, he held multiple positions in AT&T Corporate Development and Finance in the U.S. and in Asia, where he performed financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate development. He holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from SUNY and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University.
Russ Green – Senior Vice President, Marketing & Product Management
Russ has 15 years of enterprise software experience in large-scale, high availability systems, working with globally-distributed development groups and customers. Before joining VPIsystems, Russ was the Vice President of Development for 724 Solutions, based in Switzerland, where he was responsible for engineering, product management and support. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Development at TANTAU Software, based in Germany and the U.K., and acquired by 724 Solutions, where he also held positions in product management. Previously, he worked as a consulting engineer at Tandem Computers, and was the Technical Director of DEC’s European Operating Systems Group in Scotland, U.K. Russ has a BSc. Eng from the University of Cape Town, and an MSc. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh. He holds three patents.
Mark Peterson – Senior Vice President, Global Sales
Mark has 25 years of experience designing, managing, and selling OSS software to communications service providers and equipment manufacturers worldwide. Before joining VPIsystems, Mark was VP, Global Sales at Nakina Systems, a provider of Network Integrity Management solutions to the telecommunications industry. Prior to Nakina, Mark spent ten years with Tollgrade Communications, a world leader in access network testing and monitoring systems for telephone and cable networks, most recently in the position of President and CEO. Prior to Tollgrade, Mark spent thirteen years at AT&T Bell Laboratories, holding member of the technical staff and supervisory positions in hardware design, systems engineering, and system test. When Mark left Lucent in 1997, he was Director of Product Management for Lucent’s Testing OSS product line. Mark holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Lafayette College and Duke University respectively, and an MBA in Marketing from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
Matthew Rosner - CFO
Matt brings more than 25 years of financial management experience to his position as Chief Financial Officer at VPIsystems. Prior to joining VPIsystems, he was Chief Financial Officer for Alphion Corporation. Prior to this, he was the CFO for the Americas Region with NICE Systems. Mr. Rosner has held various financial positions with other publicly-traded companies including Applied Graphics Technologies, Pirelli, Johnson & Johnson as well as public accounting firms. Mr. Rosner holds an MBA from Rutgers University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Vijay Malik - Vice President of Engineering
Vijay brings over 20 years of engineering development experience in the networking industry to VPIsystems. Prior to VPIsystems, Vijay was Vice President of Engineering leading Arbor Networks Deep Packet Inspection product portfolio for the wireless and wireline markets. Prior to Arbor Networks, Vijay was Vice President of Business Development at RAD Data Communications, an access equipment provider company, and Vice President of Engineering at Mangrove Systems. Before that he held progressive engineering leadership roles at Sycamore Networks and Fujitsu Network Communication. Vijay holds a M.S. and B.S. both in computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India and Nagpur University, India respectively. Vijay holds a patent in ATM Multicasting methods.
Sudhir Kumar, Vice President-Global Services
Sudhir is responsible for VPIsystems' Presales, Professional Services, and Product Support services. Sudhir has over 20 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering software to communications service providers worldwide. Sudhir, most recently, worked at Actix, a leader in 3G/4G wireless network optimization solutions. as Head of Americas Services. While at Actix, Sudhir worked within top leadership team to transform the company from a “product” based to a fully integrated “product, solution, and services” based business model. Prior to Actix, Sudhir led OSS practices for over nine years in executive positions at Oracle, MetaSolv, and Nortel Networks where he established a reputation for enabling growth, delivering portfolios of concurrent projects, and creating the highest level of customer satisfaction in a global tier 1 customer environment. Sudhir initially launched his career at LCC international, an early stage wireless company, where he built market leading RF network planning and fixed network interconnect design systems. Sudhir holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from B.I.T. Sindri, an MS in Computer Science and a Graduate Degree in Health Information Technology from The George Washington University.
Bob Polsen – General Manager – VPIphotonics Division
Bob has over 40 years of Executive Management and Sales experience in the Telecommunications industry. Prior to joining VPI in 2005, Bob spent 5 years as Senior Vice President – National Sales for Appiant Technologies, a Unified Communications software company partnered with Cisco, located in Pleasanton, CA. Before joining Appiant, he served as EVP & GM of the $22m Communications and Energy Division of Claritas Corporation, a Marketing Database company located in Washington, DC. Before Claritas, Bob was with DMR Consulting as VP – Sales – Telecommunications Division where he created a CRM Practice to drive the sales of data warehouses, business intelligence software, and decision support software. Previously, Bob retired from a 25 year Bell System career, spanning Western Electric Engineering, AT&T Product Management, NYNEX Sales and Marketing, and Bellcore where he was Executive Director of Account Management. He holds a Master of Science in Business Management from New York Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College.
