Title: Software Engineer (Somerset, NJ)
Duties:
Design and develop an enterprise grade network planning software solution for the global telecommunication industry using advanced tools of Java, C/C++, C#, VB, JavaScript, PHP, J2EE, SQL, HTML, XML, BIRT, and GIS. Confer with other members of R&D Department to design network resources planning software and to obtain information on project limitation and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces; Analyze the business logic of network planning applications and software requirements; Design and implement network design algorithms; Perform network element performance data, logical and physical network configuration with subscriber behavior models; Perform software testing, validation procedures, programming and documentation; Resolve application/system platform issues, and configure, deploy, maintain the VPIsystems and related software solutions; Implement the systems and network security standards; Review the carriers’ current network capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if the requested system changes are possible; Work with key members of R&D department to design and implement improvement strategies and to identify and resolve application issues, system enhancements, and new user requirements; Keep abreast with the up-to-date industry trend and communicate with customers and product management to ensure that user needs are translated properly into system functionality and ensure adherence to the company’s quality standards and guidelines
Education Requirements: Master’s Degree in Computer Science
Experience Requirements:
Two years experience in related experience in software development and algorithm implementation using Java, C/C++, C#, VB, JavaScript, PHP, J2EE, SQL, HTML, XML, BIRT, and GIS
Hours: 40/wk, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
